In a lot of my work I talk about what it means to be beautiful and I explore the construct of beauty as a PanAfrican woman. Originally I experimented a lot with resin and other forms of jewelry making. Here I create a form that allows me to display the jewelry I created on heads while also showing the interaction between the pieces. These intricate accessories add to the beauty and power of the form. As I was building these forms they took on a prodigious look while still serving their purpose as a display for my jewelry. From this point on I began to now think about jewelry and its connection to African cultures, as It is ornamental, yet consequential.
